While building a 20-year background as a racecar driver in a variety of cars and tracks, Patrick (as many other drivers in the world) would constantly strive to do "whatever it took" toward one goal: becoming a true professional driver, earning a living doing what they truly love. A very small percentage of drivers find themselves in this position in life. Patrick can count himself as one of the lucky few to make it.
Whether behind the wheel of a 30-horsepower go-kart or a 900-horsepower sprint car, Patrick delivers. He has the ability to adapt not only to differing car set-ups, power, weights etc., but to understand and relay critical information on feel and drivability. Patrick has completed complex courses in data acquisition, racecar Dynamics and engineering. He has knowledge of the physics involved in racing as well as the ability to relay technical information at levels to be understood by Engineers, mechanics or students. His years of professional experience coupled with his approachable personality make Patrick a commodity for any team
Aside from Pro Racing and Private Coaching Patrick has years of experience as a Performance Driver. You may have seen him in a Ford Mustang Catalog, a print ad or Poster for General Motors, driving off-road in a Toyota truck in a motion picture or in a commercial on the Superbowl! Patrick’s calm demeanor and precise timing make him a favorite of photographers and Directors who demand the utmost professionalism and precision in their performance Drivers.
Adding to his credentials are several years as a Professional performance Driving and Road Racing Instructor at such companies as The Bondurant School of High Performance Driving. Patrick used that past experience in fundamentals in his career just as many other talented Drivers, Coaches and Motorsports Industry Professionals as a launching pad to the next phase of their career.
“A school is a good little place to start but the talented and ambitious always move on to greater challenges and bigger rewards.” Says Sallaway, “ In life, as in racing, the ones who lack the courage to leave their comfort zone, will always be left behind.”
